The Global Alliance for Cannabis Commerce (GACC) exists to provide policymakers and legislators with the guidance necessary to take this nascent industry into a global provider of medical and adult use cannabis products.

By 2025, the global cannabis market is expected to be worth over $146 billion. The next 20 years of worldwide economic growth will hinge on how governments respond to the medical and adult-use consumer demand for cannabis products. New and innovative medical applications, combined with vast technological and botanical shifts in the legal cannabis market, have opened the door for a sophisticated and developed industry positioned to bolster economic growth worldwide. The current state of U.S. federal and international laws related to cannabis prevent the industry from realizing its full economic and public health potential.

The Future of Global Cannabis

Hundreds of millions of people live in countries that have adopted a legal cannabis regime. In the United States, over 200 million Americans—more than two-thirds of the U.S. population—already live in a state where they can obtain legal cannabis, despite a blanket federal prohibition. Now, GACC exists to provide the cannabis industry with a unified voice to seek necessary and progressive reform to the benefit of the industry stakeholders, consumers, and economies worldwide.

The Global Alliance for Cannabis Commerce is a trade organization of cannabis companies and related businesses working with government officials and advocacy community representatives to reform global cannabis laws. Alliance members seek to ensure that when various jurisdictions inevitably legalize cannabis, industry leaders and government officials have already worked together to develop policies designed to provide businesses with the certainty they need to expand their companies and provide consumers with safe, reliable products.
