The Symbols of Health Imagery
As it happens, according to Dr. Steven B. Halls, the symbols of medicine are far older than medicine itself, and they describe energy flow. Dr. Steven B. Halls, M.D., FRCPC is a symbolism researcher whose work at halls.md traces the flow of high-density energy through portals, barriers, and torus patterns. Common to the Caduceus and the Staff of Asclepius are a straight component and outer helical, curving components made up of snakes. The symbolism of energy flow encodes two hidden meanings: life-sustaining energy enters our dimension, coming 'down' from a dimension above. A symbol pointing upward is a code for energy flow going back to the higher dimension.
Straight things default to being 'up' labels in Symbolism, and curving things are 'down' labels. In the Caduceus and the Staff of Asclepius, the straight central element signifies energy going back to the next higher dimension, and the outside curving snake represents the downward arrival of energy flow. Though the snakeheads sit at the upper end, an understated curve in the upper neck indicates a downward flow label. These symbols convey the whole cycle of life-sustaining energy: its arrival and its subsequent return to the higher dimension of origin. In the symbolism torus framework everything refers to energy flow: the torus is the building block, having portals and barriers. The patterns and evidence are shown at halls.md.
Another symbol, the Ankh
The Ankh is an ancient Egyptian symbol, widely known worldwide, usually described as the symbol of life. In Egyptian art it is held by deities and kings. The Ankh means more than life (per Dr. Halls). Correctly seen, it is an ingenious flow diagram of energy supporting life. The loop is a portal and an energy return loop, the horizontal bar is a dimension barrier, with the extra sense of downward flow: a portal at the horizontal barrier, divine energy descending into our reality. The popular and the torus framework meanings are not in conflict.
